COVID Support

This program offers FREE virtual counseling services for underinsured and uninsured individuals 18+ in Santa Clara County.

Uninsured and underinsured individuals that live in Santa Clara County and have been impacted by the pandemic are eligible for free telehealth counseling through La Selva Community Clinic’s COVID Support program. This program is also open to uninsured healthcare providers. Services are short-term and available in both English and Spanish.

Personas sin aseguranza o bajo aseguradas que viven en el condado de Santa Clara y que han sido impactadas por la pandemia son elegibles para un programa de teleterapia por medio del programa Apoyo COVID de la Clínica Comunitaria La Selva. Éste programa también está abierto a proveedores de salud sin aseguranza. Servicios son de corto plazo y disponibles en inglés y español.

What to expect from the COVID Support Program:

    1. Virtual telehealth counseling services are provided via Zoom or phone with a mental health professional in a safe and supportive space.
    2. Mental health professionals provide services in English and Spanish
    3. The program provides participants with 10 free counseling sessions
    4. Through the program, participants will also have access to case management support and can be linked to other resources in the community (i.e. legal support, food assistance, primary care, etc.)

Ana is bilingual clinician in our outpatient program at La Selva Community Clinic. Using a blend of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic Experience approaches Ana provides short term psychotherapy as well as case management services. Ana thoroughly enjoys helping people find ways to be their best self. She has experience working with at-risk juvenile offenders, families, couples, and individuals. Her interests include working with clients helping them work through trauma while focusing on the mind-body connection.

Ana es una terapeuta bilingüe en nuestro programa La Selva Community Clinic. Usando una combinación de terapia cognitiva conductual y experiencia somática, Ana ofrece psicoterapia a corto plazo. Ana disfruta mucho ayudar a las personas a encontrar formas de ser lo mejor posible y sentirse como si mismos. Ella tiene experiencia trabajando con juveniles en situaciones de riesgo, familias, parejas e individuos. Sus intereses incluyen trabajar con clientes ayudándoles a superar el trauma mientras se enfoca en la conexión mente-cuerpo.

Karen is the bilingual clinician for La Selva Community Clinic’s COVID Support Program, providing short-term therapy and case management services. She has provided a wide range of services in mental health clinic and community settings, from individual and family therapy, to in-person crisis intervention. She employs a trauma-informed, person-centered approach with her clients, and is passionate about supporting clients healing from intergenerational trauma.

Karen es la terapeuta bilingüe del programa Apoyo COVID de la Clínica Comunitaria de La Selva, proveyendo servicios de corto plazo y de administración de casos. Ella a proveído una gran variedad de servicios en clínicas de salud mental y en la comunidad, desde terapia invidual y terapia familiar, a servicios de intervención de crisis en persona. Con sus pacientes, ella usa conceptos informados por el trauma y centrados en la persona, y es apasionada por ayudar a pacientes sanando de trauma intergeneracional.
